Before the World Ends: Team Bill vs Team Kimmy Full Gear Predictions 2023

Normally this would be our last AEW pay-per-view of the year, however, Tony Khan decided to spoil the East Coast crowd one more time this year with the first-ever New York pay-per-view in December called Worlds End. This weekend we have many multiperson matches, a Texas Death match, and our world heavyweight champion wrestling twice on the same show. With all of that being said, let’s predict Full Gear!

The Buy-In (Announced So Far)

ROH Tag Team Championships: MJF & TBD vs The Gunns (Austin and Colten Gunn):

Kimmy: I miss when more than two ROH Champions were on the ROH TV show what a time that used to be… Whoever wins this match let’s make our way back to Thursday Nights on Honor Club.

Winners: “And Still” MJF & TBD

Bill: MJF and his tag partner (not by his choice) Samoa Joe will retain. Why is Joe there? Adam Cole is the reason why. He’ll convince Max to take Joe on as a partner, or he convinces Joe to join the match halfway through and Max has to, against his better judgement, make the tag to Joe for the W.

Winners: “And Still” MJF & Samoa Joe

Main Card:

AEW Women’s Championship Match: Hikaru Shida vs “Timeless” Toni Storm:

Kimmy: Our crazy-obsessed fan will be playing a role in this match. You see in Hollywood everyone needs a good stunt double, and luckily Toni Storm has one in the newly signed Mariah May. Something will happen at the end of the match where she and Storm make the switch as Storm wins the match. Since this is Toni Storm’s Hollywood Homecoming this makes the most sense.

Winner: “And New” Toni Storm

Bill: Timeless Toni will take the W here, as Kimmy said, with help of the newly signed Mariah May. I have an itching feeling something else happens with Shida after this feeling (a return or a debut) and that’s going to be her trajectory.

Winner: “And New” Toni Storm

Sting, Darby Allin, and Adam Copeland vs Christian Cage, Luchasaurus, and Nick Wayne:

Kimmy: Yes, this is a real match that is happening. To me, Sting may be the first AEW Superstar to go undefeated in his entire AEW career. If you have not had him lose yet why have him lose now, especially with Adam Copeland in the mix? Upset the TNT Championship is not getting defended on this show, but AEW made it up to me by having two women’s matches on the show.

Winners: Sting, Darby Allin, and Adam Copeland

Bill: No one needs a home run in AEW more than Adam Copeland. His run so far has been extremely bland and uneventful. He had a great debut, a killer first interaction with Christian Cage and since then it’s been a lot of treading water. Sting is not losing on his way out … until his last match … with Darby. Meanwhile, let’s let Copeland look strong here, pin Wayne and then challenge for the TNT Title at Winter is Coming or World’s End.

Winners: Sting, Darby Allin, and Adam Copeland

AEW International Championship: Orange Cassidy vs Jon Moxley:

Kimmy: I was lucky enough to watch their first match live in person and it was phenomenal, and even then I was shocked that Cassidy dropped the title to Moxley. I think we are inching closer to an Orange Cassidy heel turn, and the most effective way for that to happen is losing to Moxley again.

Winner: “And New” Jon Moxley

Bill: You know who’s going to finish the story? Orange Cassidy. He’ll beat Mox, which elevates he and the International Title even higher and man oh man how much will it mean for the person who actually beats Cassidy for the International Title (looking at you RUSH).

Winner: “And Still” Orange Cassidy

Texas Death Match: Adam Page vs Swerve Strickland:

Kimmy: At this point, I can only assume there are going to be three matches and Adam Page will win this one. To me this feud didn’t need to go to three matches, Swerve could have won the TNT title on a Dynamite and he could have defended the title on this show, but maybe that is just me.

Winner: Adam Page

Bill: Let’s finish this feud off in a cage match. Hangman needs the W here to avenge the heinous acts of Swerve Strickland. This one is going to be an absolute bloody awesome match, which will somehow top their Wrestledream encounter.

Winner: Adam Page

*If the Golden Jets win they will get The Young Bucks’ AEW World Tag Team Championship Opportunity, but if The Young Bucks win The Golden Jets must disband as a team*

The Golden Jets (Kenny Omega and Chris Jericho) vs The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson):

Kimmy: The Young Bucks are heading towards a downward spiral at the moment and this match is not going to help them at all. They recently lost their six-man titles, and it seems like they can’t get any big wins under their belt. For that reason alone The Golden Jets will win this match as The Bucks just like Orange Cassidy are heading towards a major heel turn.

Winners: The Golden Jets (Kenny Omega and Chris Jericho)

Bill: The Bucks go heel and undeniably so. This is going to lead to The Bucks vs. The Golden Lovers at World’s End. Book it. I think The Golden Jets will win this one, and then lose to whomever comes out of this show with the tag belts at Winter is Coming.

Winners: The Golden Jets (Kenny Omega and Chris Jericho)

TBS Championship: Kris Statlander vs Julia Hart vs Skye Blue:

Kimmy: The reason why this is not a one-on-one match is because poor Skye Blue will be taking the pin in this one. Julia Hart is over with the crowd right now and not putting the title on her now is a missed opportunity. Having Blue take the pin furthers the feud between Hart and Statlander and leads to a third match in Statlander’s hometown at World’s End.

Winner: “And New” Julia Hart

Bill: Skye Blue will eat the pin here, but only to prolong the Julia Hart push to capturing this title. Julia and Skye will rumble again, probably in some sort of blood match and then Julia will go on to beat Stat in December.

Winner: “And Still” Kris Statlander

AEW World Tag Team Championship: Ricky Starks and Big Bill vs La Faccion Ingobernable (Rush and Dralistico) vs FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Hardwood) and Kings of The Black Throne (Malaki Black and Brody King):

Kimmy: If you are wondering why there are so many tag teams in this match, you are not the only one. Since I picked Julia Hart to win the TBS championship, I’ll pick Kings of the Black Throne so all the members of the House of Black can hold championship gold.

Winners: “And New” Malaki Black and Brody King

Bill: Going out on a limb with this — LFI all the way. Much like Bill & Ricky were a fresh, outside the box pick, I think of LFI in the same manner. Rush and Dralistico need to be unleashed here, and beating these other teams is the springboard they need.

Winners: “And New” Rush and Dralistico

AEW World Heavyweight Championship: MJF vs Jay White:

Kimmy: MJF has too many storylines going on for him to lose the title right now. I love Jay White and I do think one day he will be AEW World Heavyweight Champion, just not right now. Also, do not be surprised if this weekend we finally find out who the devil is after all.

Winner: “And Still” MJF

Bill: MJF, all the way.

Winner: “And Still” MJF

The current record in Bill vs Kimmy is 2-1, in favor of Bill

AEW Full Gear 2023 will be streaming live on November 18th at 8:00 PM EST on Bleacher Report
