AEW Revolution 2026 Predictions: Can MJF Survive Texas Death or Will Hangman Never Challenge for the Title Again?

AEW Revolution 2026 takes place Sunday March 15 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, less than 10 miles from The Dolby Theater where the Oscars are being held.

This is the seventh incarnation of the Revolution PPV and AEW’s first PPV of 2026. Revolution is headlined by a rematch from last year’s opener: Maxwell Jacob Friedman (the AEW Men’s Heavyweight Champion) and the former champion, “Hangman” Adam Page. This is no ordinary rematch though. The two will tangle in a high stakes stipulation match. Not only is this a Texas Death Match, but if Hangman Page loses, he’ll never challenge for the AEW Men’s World Heavyweight Title ever again. We have not seen stakes this severe since Cody Rhodes put that same stipulation into his title match with Chris Jericho back at Full Gear 2019.

So let’s get into the predictions for the rest of this absolutely stacked card in front of 10,000+ this Sunday. Also, don’t be shocked if we get a number of returns to the ring.

Tony Khan on AEW Revolution, WBD-PSKY, ROH’s TV Future, Samoa Joe & More

Zero Hour Pre-Show Matches:

The Infantry (Captain Shawn Dean & Carlie Bravo) with Shane Taylor Promotions vs. Boom & Doom (QT Marshall & Big Boom AJ) with Big Justice and The Rizzler

Thoughts: Big Boom AJ matches never disappoint because they are always, at its core, fun old school professional wrestling. This will be a lot of silly gaga involving Shane Taylor, Big Justice, Trish Adora, The Rizzler, and … Paul Wight. Yup, can totally see “No BS” coming out (as he’s prone to do in Big Boom matches) and fending off Shane Taylor. Boom & Doom get the W to kick off the show and make the crowd happy. However, never, ever rule out a heel turn from QT Marshall. The head of The Factory (which is still a thing) always works better as a heel, and he and AJ have great chemistry.

Prediction: Boom & Doom

21-Man Blackjack Battle Royale for the AEW National Title

Announced Competitors: Ricochet, Tomasso Ciampa

Predicted Competitors: Mark Briscoe, Wheeler Yuta, Daniel Garcia, Claudio Castagnoli, El Clon, Toa Lioana, Bishop Kaun, Beast Mortos, Rush, Zachary Wentz, Myron Reed, Desmond Xavier, PAC, Dustin Rhodes, Dralistico, Jack Perry, Josh Alexander, Shibata, Mascara Dorada.

Thoughts: We very easily could see other competitors in this match, but I think you can lock Briscoe, Perry, GOA, and various members of the DCF in this one. Ciampa and Briscoe will cause each other’s demise. Wouldn’t be stunned to see a GOA/Rascalz feud come out of this one. Ultimately, this will come down to Jack Perry and Ricochet.

Prediction: Ricochet is going to retain. He’s advertised defending the North American Title at RevPro this month, and he’s doing such good work that I can’t see him dropping the belt in a Battle Royale. Ultimately, this will come down to a stipulation match at either April’s Dynasty PPV or Double or Nothing for Perry to get belted up.

TBS Title Match: Willow Nightingale (C) vs. Lena Kross

Thoughts: The booking of this match is extremely interesting. This screams of this match ending, and bleeding right into the tag team title match. If they want to protect Kross, they’ll do a DQ finish with Bayne and Kross double teaming Willow, until Harley makes her appearance (at the top of the hour and beginning of the PPV).

Prediction: And Still … Willow Nightingale

AEW Women’s Tag Title Match: The Babes of Wrath (Willow Nightingale & Harley Cameron) vs. Megan Bayne & Lena Kross

Thoughts: This screams title change. The Babes of Wrath have done a solid job of being the first champions out the gate, however it is time for them to move on. It’s also time for some new faces to hold gold for the first time. Bayne and Kross as Road Warrior-esque champions makes sense, and the long-term plan for these belts should be The Brawling Birds (Jamie Hayter and Alex Windsor) winning the titles at All in London as the hometown heroes. The belts, I believe, will change hands thanks to the return of Mercedes Mone who will jump one of the Babes, allowing for Bayne & Kross to win the belts. This will then set up a Babes of Wrath vs. Mercedes Mone feud that will likely culminate in The CEO vs. The Babe with the Power at Double or Nothing.

Prediction: And NEW … Megan Bayne and Lena Kross

Everyone Banned from Ringside: “Timeless” Toni Storm vs. “The Problem” Marina Shafir

Thoughts: Toni Storm doesn’t lose very often, however she needs to lose here. Revolution is very much going to be a pivot point for AEW, as this will be launching new stars, and building towards All In London. Storm pulled off the win (with Orange Cassidy) in the hair match with Shafir and Yuta in Australia, so it makes sense for her to lose here. Shafir needs a signature singles win. Her not having some sort of title reign by year’s end would be a travesty. With that said, you cannot have “The Problem” lose in her PPV singles debut for AEW.

Prediction: Marina Shafir

Tornado Trios Match: Darby Allin, Orange Cassidy, Roderick Strong vs. The Dogs (Gabe Kidd, Clark Connors, David Finlay)

Thoughts: Jay White return imminent. The Dogs have taken a loss already, but you can’t have them as a viable faction by losing cleanly to Darby, OC and Roddy. If King Switch costs them the match – fine. However, they should really beat these three staple AEW talents in violent fashion to prove their importance in the company. Then, post-match, we do the TK classic, “lights on, lights off” and Jay White returns. Of course, the Bang Bang Gang wouldn’t be too far behind either.

Predictions: The Dogs

Brody King vs. Swerve Strickland

Thoughts: This is going to be a fantastic match between the two most violent men in AEW. The fans are the real winners here. However, I’m going to take a risky pick on this one and say that Brody King takes the W here. King taking two big losses back-to-back (MJF then Swerve) is not going to do him any favors as a top guy. AEW needs to give him a big win here (even if it’s due to say interference from Kenny Omega – live or they just play his music to head fake Swerve). Then at Dynasty, they can run Brody vs. Swerve in a stipulation match like a chain match or a dog collar match. Swerve can win there, and then we have a collision course for Kenny and Swerve at either Double or Nothing or All In London.

Prediction: Brody King

Bandido vs. Andrade El Idolo

Thoughts: This will be a killer match. Andrade is red hot right now, and it would likely be a bad thing for him to lose at this point. People really wanted him to be in the main event against MJF, and I think that could happen next month at Dynasty. I saw him tear the house down against Yota Tsuji for New Japan in Trenton. He’s wrestling at an inspired level and has never been more interesting. You cannot cool him down. On the flipside, Bandido is AEW’s Rey Mysterio. He can take a loss on a PPV and still be the most beloved dude on the face of earth.

Prediction: Andrade El Idolo

AEW Trios Title Match: The Don Callis Family – “The Rainmaker” Kazuchika Okada, “The Protostar” Kyle Fletcher, “Dunkzilla” Mark Davis (C) vs. Mistico, “Speedball” Mike Bailey and “The Jet” Kevin Knight

Thoughts: The seeds of dissent between Jet Speed starts at this show. Don’t worry lucha fans, Mistico is not taking the pin here if his team loses. I think a miscommunication or Speedball eating a Rainmaker and losing clean starts to cause frustration for The Jet, and this will lead to his heel turn, and oh the matches these two will have. Also, let’s be real – Mark Davis having a title in AEW is needed right now.

Prediction: The Don Callis Family

AEW Continental Title Match – No Time Limit: Jon Moxley (C) vs. “The Alpha” Konosuke Takeshita

Thoughts: People will not love this prediction, but there’s no way “The Alpha” wins this one. People will obviously start doing the Hogan comparisons to Moxley (and wrongfully so), but Big Soup has to lose here. We need Okada to continue to ride him for losing the big one, so we can finally get Okada and Takeshita in London with Soup getting the huge win here. The people love him, and that babyface turn is going to be amazing.

Prediction: Jon Moxley

AEW World Tag Team Title Match: FTR (C) w/Big Stoke vs. The Young Bucks

Thoughts: All the main titles cannot be retained by heels, so I’m going with The Young Bucks to score their fourth – and final – AEW World Tag Team Title victory. Why? Because on this day, I see clearly and everything has to light, that Adam Copeland and Christian Cage will finally return to AEW to set up a feud that will take these two teams back to All In. It’s California, it’s a big show, let’s go. FTR being entangled with E&C works for All In. The Bucks can go out there and have a run of bangers before ultimately dropping the tag titles to… well, that’s a really good question isn’t it?

Prediction: The Young Bucks

AEW Women’s World Title March – 2 out of 3 Falls: “The Toxic Spider” Thekla (C) vs. “The Cosmic Killer” Kris Statlander

Thoughts: People are going to read a lot into this one after rumblings of Kris Statlander’s contract being up this spring. Thekla and Stat will go hard in this one, and this could easily be one of the best of either’s runs in AEW to date. So there are two ways of thinking on this one. First, Stat wins and this allows for Mercedes to eventually beat her for the world title. Or, we have Thekla retain and eventually this leads to a Willow title run? I think Thekla does retain here, as she’s primed to be a huge star for AEW.

Prediction: Thekla

AEW Men’s World Title Match: MJF (C) vs. “Hangman” Adam Page

Thoughts: Right now, I don’t think you can take the title off of MJF. He’s on a roll, and the ratings, and the attendance is reflecting this. The money here is not Hangman, it’s Will Ospreay at All In. Don’t be shocked to see Ospreay return after MJF wins. The “Hangman never challenges again” stipulation will suck for a while, but we could easily see that lifted at some point, likely due to MJF cheating or some sort of contractual loophole … years down the road. Hangman does not need the world title to be the guy – having him wrestle for the National, Continental or TNT Title instantly elevates those belts.

Prediction: MJF

AEW Revolution 2026 is available for purchase on HBO MAX, Prime Video, YouTube, PPV.com and traditional cable pay-per-view.
