Does The Latest Ghostbusters Trailer Answer the Call?

Sony has officially released the second trailer for their hotly anticipated/much debated Ghostbusters film this morning.

The trailer for the Paul Feig-helmed reboot/remake/what have you gives audiences a look into the actual plot of the film — including what Chris Hemsworth’s role in is in the film.

The previous, and much maligned first trailer, has already introduced us to the new quartet (of Ghostbusters, so this time around we see them in action — a lot more action from both the ‘busters and from the ghosts themselves. We also get a glimpse of some of the supporting cast including Andy Garcia as the mayor and SNL’s Cecily Strong as his second in command. We also get a cameos from two of the most iconic characters in franchise history — The Stay Puffed Marshmallow Man, and Slimer.

As for Hemsworth, he in essence assumes the role of Rick Moranis and Sigourney Weaver from the first film, an ally of the Ghostbusters who becomes possessed by a spirit, and by default becomes the villain of the film.

Ghostbusters stars Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones as the Ghostbusters, along with the aforementioned Hemsworth, Strong, Garcia, Elizabeth Perkins, Nate Corrdry, Matt Walsh and Charles Dance. Of course, we all know about those reported cameos.

Ghostbusters hits theaters on July 15, 2016.
