As reported by Wired, in addition to announcing Daredevil‘s renewal at San Diego Comic-Con and teasing the upcoming crossover, The Defenders, Marvel and Netflix gave sneak peeks Thursday for two other highly anticipated shows, Marvel’s Luke Cage and Iron Fist.
Luke Cage (Mike Colter) previously appeared on Marvel’s Jessica Jones, but the short trailer gives a better sense of what’s to come for Cage AKA Power Man, whose series debuts September 30.
Showrunner Cheo Coker exclaimed, “The world is ready for a bulletproof black man,” and that he had ushered in the “Wu-Tang-ification of the Marvel Universe.” It should be noted the song scoring the trailer is Wu-Tang Clan member Ol’ Dirty Bastard’s anthem, “Shimmy Shimmy Ya.”

Compared to the Luke Cage trailer, the teaser for Iron Fist doesn’t provide as much detail, but it should excite fans all the same to catch a glimpse of Finn Jones (Game of Thrones) as the supernatural martial artist.
