In issue #3 of Shirtless Bearfighter Burke appeared at the last moment. Silva and Shirtless thought the cavalry had arrived, but were sorely mistaken. Silva figured out the entire devious plot for the evil bacon. She and Shirtless were able to get away from the insane bear attacks and Jaxon Logger from Fuzzy Wipes. They had made their way safely into a cave. Only to discover that Burke had seemingly switched sides.
This issue picks up with Silva being imprisoned alongside bears. Jaxon Logger is rallying his troops to go outside and destroy what little remains of the forest. How else can you make fuzzy soft toilet paper? Silva and Burke are inside seeing this all unfold. This is the part where we find out why Burke betrayed Shirtless and his country. The bad guys always have to reveal their plans in full detail it seems. No spoiler here by stating what we all figured. Money. Jaxon Logger offered Burke way more than he would ever make being an FBI agent.
Burke admits everything to Silva right down to planting evidence for her to find and lead Shirtless back into the forest. As Burke makes his exit Mama Bear and Silva have a real heart-to-heart moment. The perks of being in cells beside each other. You’ll have to pick up this issue to see what they talk about and what is revealed about Shirtless though. Issue #3 had lots of reveals and this issue is no different.
Shirtless and his father are outside arguing as Jaxon Logger makes a grand entrance in a ridiculous forest killing machine. There are loggers all around him ready to cut down trees. Shirtless is facing his demons by blaming his father for the death of his darling Clementine. But, as Jaxon grows closer they realize they must fight together to defeat him and save the forest.
As Shirtless is fighting Jaxon and the loggers, Silva and Mama Bear are working together to free themselves and the other captive bears. Can they make it to Shirtless in time to stop Jaxon? Jaxon is going on a rampage and admits some crazy things to Shirltess. Things that will make your blood boil. Things that are spoiler-iffic and that I can’t share nerd friends.
This issue is full of more plot, reveals, and action. As I said in the last issue, we didn’t really have much of a plot until issue #3. Well, it’s getting thicker and thicker. Some plot points are predictable, while others are insane. I didn’t reveal any spoilers in this review so you can discover them all for yourself. I continue enjoying this story and can’t wait to see if Shirtless and Silva escape this insanity.
