Buffy The Vampire Slayer — Buffy Summers is a high school sophomore in Sunnydale, Calif., but she’s not like any other high school student. Buffy is the Chosen One, the vampire slayer. Along with her group of “Scooby’s,” Buffy stops the apocalypse more than once and does it with style.

Angel — This Buffy spinoff takes place in Los Angeles where Angel, the vampire with a soul, fights the demonic law firm of Wolfram and Hart. Along for the ride are Buffy cast members Cordelia Chase and Wesley Wyndam-Price.

True Blood — Sookie Stackhouse is a hot telepath who falls in love with a vampire and her life turns to crap afterwards. She loses several people she loves while fighting a serial killer, a Maenad, an ancient vampire, and a witch. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry but, most of all, you’ll be entertained.

Dark Shadows — We are talking old school vampire soap opera about Barnabas Collins, an ancient vampire who is accidentally released by an idiot grave robber, who returns to Collinwood, his family home which is now occupied by his present day relatives. Somehow, he manages to hide that he is a vampire while there is time travel, ghosts, werewolves, witches, and zombies. Tim Burton’s film adaptation starring Johnny Depp is to be released May 11, 2012.

The Vampire Diaries — Written by Scream and Dawson’s Creek creator Kevin Williamson, The Vampire Diaries is a teen show about Elena Gilbert and her love triangle with two vampire brothers, Stefan and Damon. It is really just a rip off of True Blood and Twilight.

**As a bonus, I thought I would include the following vampire episodes of The X-Files because, yes, they are THAT good.

“3” — After Scully has mysteriously disappeared, Mulder is sent to a case where a man has been drained of his blood by use of a syringe. He falls for Kristen, a vampire wannabe who desperately wants to escape what she is and the 3 others she was involved with.

“Bad Blood” — Mulder and Scully recall their stories of their investigation into vampiric murders and Mulder’s staking of a seemingly human boy. Luke Wilson plays a comedic role in this hilarious episode.

Castlevania — Originally released for the NES in 1986, Castlevania is about a guy named Simon, a descendent of a vampire-hunting family, who basically beats the crap out of a bunch of vampires and destroys Dracula and his castle. There have since been numerous sequels released for numerous game systems.

BloodRayne — Rayne is half human, half vampire and is looking to destroy her father and, in the process, destroys all of her Nazi vampire relatives. You get to feed off people, kick some major slow-motion ass, and it doesn’t hurt that Rayne is pretty hot. The sequel is even better!

Buffy: Chaos Bleeds — Play as your favorite Buffy characters while fighting against The First, who is trying to cover the world in permanent darkness.

Darkwatch — During his turn into a vampire, Jericho Cross joins a group of vampire hunters. The player can choose whether he will fight to stay human, or turn to darkness.

Vampire: The Masquerade-Bloodlines — This game has different stories and missions depending on which of the seven clans you decide to join upon becoming a vampire. Basically, there is an ancient artifact containing the body of an ancient vampire. Depending on which clan you joined, you’re either trying to obtain it or stop others from doing so.

The Vampire Book: Encyclopedia Of The Undead — Absolutely everything you will ever need to know about vampires, from history to film, in a book written by scholars.

The Vampire Archives — An impressive collection of vampire tales from authors such as Anne Rice, Stephen King and H.P. Lovecraft. Also includes stories that pre-date Dracula.

Dracula by Bram Stoker — Based on the true historical figure Vlad Dracul, or Vlad the Impaler, Dracula is a delightfully scary novel about a vampire who moves to London, bites the wrong women, and is hunted for it.

The Twilight Saga by Stephanie Meyer — Say what you want but these books have sold over 100 million copies, beating J.K. Rowling’s record, and the films have raked in almost $2 billion.

For those living under a rock since 2005, Twilight is about a human girl named Bella Swan who moves to Forks, Washington to live with her father and becomes caught in a love triangle with a werewolf named Jacob Black and a vampire, Edward Cullen. It’s basically a bunch of good looking people and vampires that sparkle in sunlight instead of bursting into flames.

The Southern Vampire Mysteries by Charlaine Harris — Before True Blood, there were these novels all about Sookie Stackhouse, a telepathic waitress in Bon Temps, Louisiana, who narrates her stories about vampires who have come out to the public that they exist and want to merge with human society. She falls in love with a vampire named Bill Compton and trouble unfolds from there.
