Pop Break Live: Chloe Lilac at The Bowery Ballroom – November 14, 2018

Many times music is given the description of being an escape. A momentary chance to leave behind the mundane and travel to worlds conjured up by lyrics. That’s exactly what Chloe Lilac accomplished and I had the privilege of seeing it first hand, that one November night in a sold out Bowery Ballroom.
Brooklyn’s secret weapon took the stage and immediately captured the audience. Her stage
presence quickly shook the audience to life, drawing them in to dance away the November cold. A voice akin to a fireplace in winter sealed the deal, bringing all in the venue on a one way trip to the Lilac fandom.
The release of “Stolen Liquor” and “Summer” provides a roller coaster ride back in time. To the aimless wanderings of high school summer nights and the emotional pangs of failed romances.
All delivered through Lilac’s sugar-laced vocals. With tracks already making waves on charts, Chloe is quickly establishing herself as a rising force to look out for.
Also performing on the show was Hayley Gene Penner, and headliner Charlotte Lawrence.
