Cody Rhodes on AEW’s Atlanta Debut, Jeff Cobb, Who Owns All In, AEW in Canada & More

Cody Rhodes is no stranger to Atlanta, Georgia. The 34-year-old was raised in the shadow of the city. The blood and sweat of his famed wrestling family is ingrained in the hallowed grounds of The Omni (then Phillips Arena, now State Farm Arena).

However, on February 19, Cody Rhodes, despite all his history with the ATL walks into the  great unknown. No longer “Dusty’s son” or “Dashing” or “The Prince of Dark Matter,” Cody walks into Atlanta as the face of a franchise. And on this very night, that face could very well find itself slammed repeatedly into steel cage. Rhodes just isn’t one of the men leading All Elite Wrestling into its Atlanta debut, he’s also pioneering the first-ever cage match for the red hot wrestling promotion.

His opponent, “Mr. Mayhem” Wardlow, the heavy for Rhodes’ nemesis, MJF. It’s the final step in a multi-month build for Rhodes to finally get a match with his former protege. And yet, on the eve of this high pressure match, Rhodes took to the phones, part of his responsibility (and apparent joy) of being an executive within a wrestling promotion, to talk to the wrestling media.
