Team Mike vs. Team Kimmy: Survivor Series Predictions 2022

By: Mike Mueller & Kimmy Sokol

Yes, I got screwed at Full Gear and I should have won, but regardless we are at our final premium live event of the 2022 Survivor Series. As a Thanksgiving week tradition we are still keeping with a five on five tag team match, but this year we are inside War Games. So, with two War Games matches, and a club settling scores here are our Survivor Series: War Games predictions.

*Mike’s note*: Notice when Kimmy wins, there’s no accusations. When she loses, suddenly she gets “screwed over.” Sounds like Kimmy is trying to Make Wrestling Great Again.

AJ Styles vs Finn Balor:

Kimmy: The fields are finally even between the Judgement Day and the OC with Mia Yim making her recent return to WWE. This match is going to be insane, Balor and Styles have such a history they will make sure this is a match of the night contender. There will be a lot of interference from all parties in this match, but I am too sweeting the fact that Styles gets the win here.

Winner: AJ Styles

Mike: Whether we like it or not, the Judgement Day is going to remain a main event faction for a long time to come. However, if Styles can’t get a measure of revenge now with Mia Yim in their corner, the OC is just completely buried. They should have won at Crown Jewel, but I get we are trying to get Rhea over as a monster heel. If Balor wins, this feud is dead and gone, and I feel like they’re gonna try to milk a little more out of this first, so Styles should come out on top.

Winner: AJ Styles

WWE Smackdown Women’s Championship: Ronda Rousey vs Shotzi

Kimmy: Can we please do something with the Smackdown’s Women’s championship. Ever since Rousey has won this title nothing has been done with it. I am all for Shotzi getting her shine, but this is an obvious winner. I am hoping in 2023 this belt can be used in a better capacity and someone gets this belt off Rousey, maybe Baszler?

Winner: Ronda Rousey

Mike: I would love to see Baszler be the one to get the title off of Ronda. Hell, I predicted that exact scenario a couple months ago, but the way things are going, it looks like both Ronda and Bianca are going to hold the titles until Wrestlemania. Nothing against Shotzi, but she doesn’t stand a chance in hell here. This is the lock of the night.

Winner: Ronda Rousey

Women’s War Games: Bianca Bealair, Alexa Bliss, Mia Yim, Asuka, & Becky Lynch vs Damage CTRL (Bayley, Dakota Kai, and Iyo Sky) Nikki Cross, and Rhea Ripley

Kimmy: There is a lot to this match. I think Bliss is going to turn on her team halfway through the match because she will be resuming her storyline with Bray Wyatt. I also believe that this match will be better than the mens War Games match given the storyline for this match has been stronger than the mens match. I think the faces get this one to finally get revenge on Damage CTRL.

Winners: Bianca Belair, Alexa Bliss, Mia Yim, Asuka, & Becky Lynch

Mike: There’s so much you’re wrong about in this assessment, it’s a miracle you got to the right conclusion. 1. You are out of your damn mind if you think this match is going to be better than the men’s War Games match. 2. The faces don’t “need” to get revenge on Damage CTRL, as Bianca wins every damn time, and the tag titles are literally hot potato’d between the two teams. 3. Bray Wyatt is currently in an amazing feud with himself, and Alexa would do nothing to add to this storyline right now. Despite all of that, I’ve learned my lesson and refuse to pick against Bianca until she loses, which she likely now will since I’m finally picking her.

Winners: Bianca Belair, Alexa Bliss, Mia Yim, Asuka, & Becky Lynch

United States Championship Match: Seth Rollins vs Austin Theory vs Bobby Lashley

Kimmy: I refuse to believe that my favorite wrestler is going to lose to someone who failed his MITB cash-in on a mid card title and Bobby Lashley. I have loved Rollins’s reign as United States Champion. I think after losing for a year and a half straight this is definitely a nice change. Rollins gets the easy dub here.

Winner: Seth Rollins

Mike: I loved that Theory attempted a cash-in on a title other than the world championship, as it now opens the door for all future MITB winners. However, they screwed up by having him cash in unsuccessfully. Theory should be the US champ going into this, and Rollins should get the title back. However, since that’s off the table, a straight one-on-one match would be too weak of a story to tell, so adding Lashley is a smart move. It’s possible that Lashley does the damage to Seth and Theory gets a sneaky pin, but this is likely going to be a strong title defense for Rollins.

Winner: Seth Rollins

*World Cup Tournament Finals: Santos Escobar vs Ricochet*

Kimmy: I love that they did this tournament. I think it is different and everyone in this tournament has definitely delivered really good matches. I think Esobar gets the win here and we start to get momentum on him. A lot of people have been strong on Escobar since NXT and I think this is the time to really start pushing that momentum on the main roster.

Winner: Santos Escobar

Mike: I am one of those people who has been very high on Santos from the beginning, and I agree that we seem to be building some momentum his way. However, I really think a baby face is going to win this tournament, since Gunther is still pretty entrenched as a heel. Ricochet is one of those people who always delivers stellar matches, and while he wouldn’t be the most credible threat to Gunther, it would be a fun match. Having Braun win this tournament would set up the most intriguing match for Gunther, even if I don’t really like the guy.

Winner: Ricochet/Braun

Men’s War Games: The Bloodline (Roman Reigns, Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso, Sola Sikola, & Sami Zayn) vs The Brawling Brutes (Sheamus, Butch, Ridge Holland), Drew McIntrye & Kevin Owens:

Kimmy: The interesting part to me about this match, is whether or not Zayn sides with Owens to get the tag team that would make my Ring of Honor heart oh so happy. This match is definitely going to be hard hitting and I hope everyone expects weapons galore with all 10 of these superstars. Even if Zayn betrays the Bloodline, I don’t think it will be enough to defeat the Bloodline. The Bloodline is the hottest thing in WWE right now and I do not see them losing on the last premium live event of the year.

Winners: The Bloodline (Roman Reigns, Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso, Sola Sikola, & Sami Zayn)

Mike: War Games is a match that was literally designed for the baby faces to get a measure of revenge against a dominant heel faction. Reigns doesn’t have to be anywhere near the finish of this match, so it would be easy to give it to the good guys here. However, I refuse to pick against Roman so here’s how I see it playing out. Roman has to save the day and bail out either Jay or Sami, and while he does get the win, it furthers the divide between Jay and Sami and the bloodline realizes that these two are simply never going to co-exist. They likely directly turn on Sami, though it could be a fun swerve where they temporarily turn on Jay, before eventually dashing Sami’s dreams. Either way, this is leading to a Sami vs Roman match at the elimination chamber PPV in Montreal. While the faces SHOULD get the win here, I gotta stick with the Bloodline.

Winners: The Bloodline (Roman Reigns, Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso, Sola Sikola, & Sami Zayn)

WWE Survivor Series: WarGames, airs this Saturday November 26th exclusively on Peacock.
