New Jersey Moda Week: A Showcase of Fashion & Passion

New Jersey Moda Week returned this year for all fashion enthusiasts, taking place on June 6- 8 at the APA Hotel in Woodbridge, hosted by Fanny Abreu. This iconic event brought together models, designers, photographers, and anyone interested in the fashion industry from all over the world.

New Jersey Moda Week is an annual event that is held in early June. It showcases new and experienced designers from New Jersey and around the world through a runway show, awards gala, and exhibition. This show gives the opportunity to new models and designers to gain experience during this event with networking and exposure.

The event began on June 6 with the Award Gala. This enjoyable evening started with a red carpet at 6 p.m., where models, designers, and guests walked through interviews to display their lovely outfits and enjoyed a moment in front of the cameras. At 7:30 p.m., the live performance by dancers started to entertain the guests before dinner.

After the dinner, the award ceremony started at 8:30 p.m. in which many important people in the fashion industry were honored that day like Simblas, the designer who made the iconic costume for Miss Venezuela in Miss Universe 2022, also Belisaa Gonzales, a Dominican influencer, and more.

The titles given out were: Brand of the Year, Makeup Artist of the Year, Businesswoman of the Year, Designer of the Year, Photographer of the Year, Influencer of the Year, and Model of the Year. The night ended at 11 p.m., a beautiful way to open the weekend and showcase the hard work and talent.

Saturday, June 7 was the day of the Fashion show, a day packed with runway presentations of different brands and where each designer brought his or her personality and style to the big stage., The local and international brands participating in this season were: Glamour Boutique, The Karly, Miss Fashion USA, Rose Lingerie, Zunorfa Malik, Gerardy, Ana Kabu, Betty’s Classic, and Simblas.

This year was a true mix of fashion and expression from elegant to creative and casual styles. For the audience this year watching the designers and models present their designs was an unforgettable experience.

Sunday, June 8 brought an end to the incredible weekend. It started with a fashion panel from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., where professionals like the local stylist Ms. Sevillano talked about their journey and experience in the industry, being a great experience for people to learn from experts. After the panel, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. there was a shopping walkthrough that was completely free and open to the public. This was a great chance for designers to connect with customers face-to-face.

The 4th edition of New Jersey Moda Week was an amazing and inspiring event, showcasing the fashion side of New Jersey with local and international designs, it was full of style, creativity, passion, and community. It brought people together from all over the world and gave them a chance to share their thoughts and creativity. The entire weekend embraced their theme of “showcasing with passion.”
