AEW Dynamite 9/17/25 Review: September to Remember is 3 Hours of Awesome

Live from London, Ontario, Canada, the go home Dynamite for AEW All Out takes place in a jam-packed 3-hour show dubbed September to Remember.

The show opens with the world champion “Hangman” Adam Page and Kyle Fletcher respectfully signing their contract for their championship match at the upcoming pay-per-view. Hangman throws in a very peculiar stipulation, if any member of the Don Callas family interferes, Fletcher gets disqualified and will also lose the TNT championship. Fletcher surprisingly agrees. The world champion confidently talks directly and respectfully to the Challenger putting over the Challenger’s accolades while yet at the same time advising him that he’s not quite ready to carry the torch of the company. Alternatively the challenger is young, and green, itching to prove his definition of being the best wrestler in the world. It definitely seems like Kyle Fletcher is going to be main event material for sure, following in the footsteps of Kenny Omega and Will Ospreay.

While it’s highly unlikely he will become the new champion, Fletcher will be able to prove that being a single star is going to be his permanent place in the future. Has anyone ever noticed Hangman has three types of tones of voice? when he’s a heel he just sounds downright angry. As a baby face without the championship, he’s passionate, he’s motivated and always itching for a fight. However as Champion he seems to take a tone of voice of being a father figure, speaks like a mentor, or someone who cares himself as a respectful and honorable champion. It’s going to be one hell of a main event. Have to say, it came off very professional.

But I’m sure the podcasters will say they hated it to keep their subscribers happy.

John Moxley defeated Roderick Strong in a really solid match. It always amazes me how no matter who is actually wrestling, Wheeler Yuta is the most hated man ever. Mox is having more one-on-one matches with credible opponents and each time despite Moxley always winning each opponent always appears to have a believable chance of pulling an upset victory, and tonight was no different. scored numerous backbreakers and suplexes throughout the match however it would fall to underhanded tactics for Moxley to gain the submission victory

It has to be pointed out that Roderick Strong and Marina Shafir had a nice awkward confrontation on the outside of the ring. In case you were wondering about that, they’re married.

In a segment that was taped after Collision, it appears MJF was trying to convince owner Tony Khan to get him out of the tables and tax match with Mark Briscoe. Unfortunately Tony Khan declined which angered the Salt of the Earth. However he seems unfazed and promises  Jay Briscoe won’t be lonely in the dirt soon enough. That was dark man.

Backstage, Darby Allin and Bryan Danielson have a sit-down interview hyping up the Coffin Match for AEW All Out. Darby begs Danielson not to interfere with the match as it seems as though he was teasing it, however Danielson then whispers something to Darby as the segment closes. What could it be? Nobody knows. Maybe Danielson is bragging about the Magic the Gathering collection.

Bobby Lashley defeated Toa Liona by submission. talk about a hoss fight. This match was rough and tough, brutal and barbaric. These two big men put on a great match and I would never mind seeing this again. After the match, Big Beat Down time as MVP broke his cane over Ricochet. Got to love these intense feuds.

Just going to mention, MVP is a boss in persona and physicality.

The second hour kicked off with FTR going face to face with Adam Copeland and Christian Cage this was an intense verbal segment which inevitably broke down into a brawl. At one point it looked like Christian Cage busted taxes face open with the microphone. My gut tells me this is not just going to be a wrestling match but an old school bunkhouse brawl.

The Young Bucks defeated Juice Robinson and Austin Gunn to qualify for the tag team title ladder match at the pay-per-view. The Young Bucks are riding high, recently winning a whole bunch of money, however their BTE video segments and some other pre-tape segments show that they might be burning through that cash faster than they would like. It’s a bit of a comical run, however one cannot discredit the level of intensity and attentiveness they bring to a wrestling match. It’s a shame about the Bang Bang Gang. Plagued by injuries and all we have is the makeshift team of Austin Gunn and Juice Robinson to pick up the pieces.

The final spot in the triple threat for the all elite wrestling unified championship goes to Mascara Dorada as he defeated the Beast Mortos. This by far was the match of the night. It was wild, it was technical and it was non-stop. two of the best in the world without a doubt. It will be interesting as after the match Konosuke Taeshita came out to confront Okada who was then wiped out by Mascara Dorada. It seems that all is not well within the Don Callis family.

“Timeless” Toni Storm, the AEW Women’s Champion comes out and cuts yet another ridiculously hysterical promo. It’s amazing how she combines serious undertones with her innuendo filled comedy. As the arena is dark and a spotlight shined on her, the promo is gradually interrupted by other challengers, such as Jamie Hayter, and then Kris Statlander.  As the three get heated, a major Interruption by The Toxic Spider, Thekla  starts a brawl.

Thekla defeated Queen Aminata in a No Holds Barred match. Since day one these two women have hit each other harder and harder with every type of match they’ve been in. This match was wild, crazy, and fun. I hope this isn’t the end of their low-key feud. Aminata has come such a long way. She’s got the charisma, the personality, and 110% wrestling ability to be a long-term wrestling star.

JetSpeed defeated Kip Sabian and Killswitch

Fun match. The highlight of the match were the neverending chants of “Luchasaurus” and the unexpected turn by the Big Dinosaur. Mama Wayne and Sabian constantly berated him throughout the match, but this time he had enough. It’s insane how everyone he teamed with since Jurassic Express has tormented him. Well, it seems those days are just about over.

Big Bill thinks Eddie Kingston won’t show up at All Out on Saturday.

Are you kidding me? Eddie is going to come back, the arena will lose their collective minds, and Eddie will beat the everloving crap out of Big Bill and “The Bounty Hunter” Bryan Keith.

Riho defeated Robyn Renegade – An obvious outcome, but as any company does, there has to be matches to push challengers prior to a big match. Riho and Mone have a staredown post-match, however I’m just not sure Riho will be the one to dethrone Mone of the TBS Championship.

But who will?

Calling Dr. Britt Baker!

Josh Alexander and Hechicero defeated Top Flight to advance to the AEW Tag Team Championship Ladder Match at AEW All Out.

Another excellent and fun match. The Martins sold amazingly well and took some hard bumps in and around the ring. This helped close the show with all All Out Brawl (pun intended) featuring the other tag teams involved, but then the Callis Family came out in force, prompting AEW Champion Adam Page and Kyle Fletcher to square off, with the Protostar putting Page through a table with a brainbuster off the ring apron.

AEW All Out is looking really good folks!

AEW Dynamite 9/17/25: September to Remember is now streaming on HBO MAX.
