Just days after All Out, Dynamite headed to the Petersen Events Center in Pittsburgh to showcase the aftermath of one of the company’s biggest pay-per-views of the year. A show filled with intense in-ring action and moments to set up the next big storylines.
Brodido defeated GOA
Great match to start the show with hard-hitting tag team action. GOA looked sharp despite the loss and was able to enhance their heel status with Ricochet attempting the interference. It was the right call for Brodido to retain their titles after surviving the chaotic four-way ladder match on Saturday.
“Hangman” Adam Page defeated Lee Moriarty
Although it’s insane to have your company’s top star and world champion to wrestle as the second match on your weekly show, especially right after main-eventing a premium PPV, this match had great back-and-forth action. Also, Moriarty hanging (no pun intended) with the champion is great for setting him up as one of the next big stars in AEW.
Backstage footage was revealed from after All Out, where Cope spoke to Christian Cage and said that with Beth Copeland, Cope’s wife, getting involved and hurt during their match, he would need to step away from AEW for a while. In reality, this is so he can attend other filming commitments, but really, all wrestling fans wish this were Cope heading back to WWE to face John Cena one last time.
FTR then came out to discuss their actions on Cope and his wife. They were catching some real heat from the Pittsburgh crowd with plenty of “Shut the F– up” chants and boos raining down. Willow Nightingale interrupted them to defend Beth Copeland’s honor and had some backup with Mike Bailey and Kevin Knight, presumably setting up a feud between the two tag teams. An overall great segment that had the crowd involved the whole way.
The Conglomeration defeated The Don Callis Family
The Conglomeration teased a mystery partner, and after a long-winded promo before the match from Don Callis, Orange Cassidy returned and revealed himself as the mystery partner. The pop for Cassidy was subdued because Mark Briscoe made it so painfully obvious in his backstage promo that it would be Cassidy, but it still created a fun moment for one of the most unique characters in professional wrestling. The in-ring wrestling was great from everyone in this match, despite the result of Cassidy and the Conglomeration picking up the victory being pretty apparent the whole way.
Post-match, Kyle Fletcher came out and called out Hologram for a match next week, putting Hologram’s winning streak on the line. This most likely sets up the arrival of The Clon (fka Arez), who has had many vignettes shown on Dynamite over the last few weeks.
Claudio Castagnoli defeated Powerhouse Hobbs
This was the worst match of the night in what was a fantastic night of wrestling. It felt like the whole match, the crowd wanted something big to happen, but it just never did. I get that Hobbs is, as his name suggests, a Powerhouse, but performing double-digit body slams in 2025 isn’t the most entertaining form of wrestling.
Also, this match ended in an interference by the recently returned PAC, which led to a Castagnoli roll-up pin. A match that ends in a roll-up is bound to feel like it left some meat on the bone. The most action came after the match when it was an all-out brawl between The Death Riders, Hobbs, Samoa Joe, and Adam Page.
Tony Khan made a special announcement that the Women’s tag team championships are coming to AEW this year. Personally, I believe AEW has simply way too many titles as is, but women’s tag titles are something that should’ve already existed. Also, the belts that were revealed look very cool.
Kris Statlander defeated Mina Shirakawa
This was a very good match to main event an overall entertaining night of wrestling. Then, the post-match festivities made for an enjoyable moment of Statlander swerving her joining the Death Riders, and running into the crowd flipping the double bird to Jon Moxley was a very enjoyable moment. But the show didn’t end there when it probably should have. Darby Allin proceeded to come out, wielding a flamethrower to chase away the Death Riders and challenge Moxley to an “I Quit” match at Wrestledream. It was a sick moment for Allin, but overall, I don’t think the Death Riders should have been so heavily involved in each of the last two segments of the show.
