Ramble On: Iconic Led Zeppelin Singer Robert Plant Brings Folk Rock Journey to The Met in Philly

Pop Break Live: Robert Plant with Saving Grace and Suzi Dian with Special Guest Rosie Flores at The Met in Philadelphia, PA on Saturday April 4, 2026

The Met in Philly hosted true rock-n-roll royalty when the legendary Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin graced the stage on Saturday April 4th. He is touring with his band Saving Grace in support of their critically acclaimed self-titled album which released in September 2025. When walking into the venue it was absolutely abuzz waiting for Robert Plant to walk out on stage. It was a mixed crowd that included older folks, couples and parents with their teenage kids. Some of them wore old Zeppelin T-shirts.

Plant brought along acclaimed artist Rosie Flores, aka the Rockabilly Filly, who started the night off with an extremely crowd pleasing set. Flores is 75-years-old and is regarded as a pioneer of alt-country, rockabilly and cow punk. She was backed by a two piece band. They pretty much won the crowd over right away. Standout songs were “Shaking All Over,” which included an impressive guitar jam and “Long White Cadillac.” They had the audience clapping along during the encore song “You Tear Me Up.” Sometimes it’s hard for an opening act to open for iconic artists as the crowd gets listless but the audience really embraced this band and gave them quite the ovation when their set ended.

Saving Grace, featuring vocalist Suzi Dian walked out on stage first and started playing. Their sound is a fusion of gritty, soulful Americana. After a few minutes Plant came out and the place erupted. The band played a 15-song set that mixed songs from Saving Grace’s self-titled debut album, covers of other artists and some classic Zeppelin songs, including “Ramble On,” “Friends” (which had the crowd clapping along), and “The Rain Song” off of the Houses of the Holy album from 1973. Plant was funny at times. There was someone in the audience that kept talking and he shushed them. There was another fan that implied they’d like to hear more older songs. Plant responded by saying “I told you not to bring your wife.” The audience laughed.

The band throughout the night was stellar and so were the harmonies they produced with Plant who played harmonica on some of the songs. Singer Suzi Dian’s vocals were mesmerizing at times, especially on “Orphan Girl.” It really pulled at your heartstrings. Other songs that stood out were “The Cuckoo,” “Let the Four Winds Blow,” “Calling to You,” and “As I Roved.” At one point in the show I swear I heard that infamous “Kashmir Scream,” but I can’t recall on which song. Plant was in fine form during the night and sounded great.

At 77 Robert Plant is still as charismatic as ever. What I love is that instead of relying on legacy and jumping on the nostalgia train like a lot of other artists, he has been reinventing himself for decades across so many different genres, including folk, world music, roots blues and Americana. During the show there were definitely a lot of Middle Eastern influences, and it sounded absolutely amazing. It felt so hypnotic and calming.

The band encored with “Going to California,” which they hadn’t played in seven years, and then finished the show by covering Low’s “Everybody’s Song.”” Cheers to this inspirational legend!
