Pre-Trailer Thoughts: The Rock portrays the Greek myth hero. That could be fun. Oh wait it’s directed by Brett Ratner. Ehhhh –LJF
Pre-Trailer Thoughts: The Rock with long hair playing a Greek hero? The director X-Men 3 is behind the camera? Yikes. –BB

Rate the Trailer (1-5): Three out of five. Not gonna lie, this sword and sandals epic doesn’t look atrocious. The CGI is semi solid in some spots and looks weak in others, but the epic scale could sell this movie. Plus, Mr. Rock has the ability to elevate material. Hey, I watched The Scorpion King just for him. I haven’t forgot about my days as a wrestling fan, and he always used to be a favorite of mine. That being said, the movie could be a good time, given the right audience. –LJF
Rate the Trailer (1-5): Two out of five. Wow, this was really underwhelming. I know this is supposed to be a Hollywood blockbuster, but man, this looks real B-movie level schlock. The Rock also looks a bit silly as Hercules. The rest of the trailer is very paint-by-numbers. –BB
Theater, Rent, No Thanks, Undecided? Rent. It may not be the best movie ever made about the Greek dude, but it looks like it takes it’s style from the B movie genre like Jason and the Argonauts and more up to date budget stuff like 300. I could be totally wrong in comparing it to those; it could suck. However, I am going to give it a try come rental time.
Theater, Rent, No Thanks, Undecided? Rent. This is one big pile of “meh.” I’ll rent this one on a rainy day because at the end of the day I do enjoy a good (and bad) sword movie. –BB
