Keanu Reeves is a fascinating actor. Scratch that, he’s just a fascinating figure in the world of pop culture. He goes through waves of immense popularity and equally immense bouts of obscurity. Hell, he was just quoted saying that he hasn’t been getting many offers to do studio films these days…and now he has the surprise hit of the fall season, John Wick.
Filmgoers are split right down the middle on Reeves. His haters, just hate him with an unbridled passion. Even if they enjoy one of this movies the politically convenient “it was good in spite of him” argument is dusted off. But then there are his ardent fans, who will pretty much watch anything he does. Yes, even OnDemand 47 Ronin at 1AM on a Saturday night. And yes, that was me.
That’s why I’m writing this variation on our “Three to Watch” segment. I want to give you three films of Keanu’s that I think you’ll enjoy the hell out. So, let’s revisit three specific works from Keanu – one good (that you won’t agree with me one), one forgotten gem and Point Break (the site’s named after the movie after all).
