The 2011 New Jersey Zombie Walk is bloodier, thirstier, and more alive than ever with three days of brain-eating fun. This year, Asbury Park will host the Undead Festival from Oct. 21-23. Head to Convention Hall, the meeting site for the official Zombie Walk (on Saturday, Oct. 22) for a “pulling out all the stops” post-apocalyptic wonderland. The festival will include vendors, zombie costume contests, a horrific fashion show, food, haunting music, parties and theatrical performances.
The Zombie Walk main event is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 22. All zombies will meet at the Grand Arcade of Convention Hall, which will open at 10 a.m. and will be staffed with a team of professional artists offering zombie makeovers for a nominal ticket fee, or you can hit the DIY makeup area and get creative. The walk will begin at 5 p.m.
The Undead Festival will also feature signing and appearances throughout the weekend from cast members of AMC’s The Walking Dead, Dawn Of The Dead and Night Of The Living Dead, as well as former Misfits lead singer Michale Graves, the creators of Weird NJ and more.
