the news desk delivers another sandy benefit update…
The fantastic Jersey Shore musical outfit, Elevator Art, have alerted us to a Hurricane Sandy Benefit at one our favorite Irish pubs of all-time, McDonagh’s Pub, located in the heart of Keyport, New Jersey. The event, which will take place on Saturday January 5, will feature a host of amazingly talented bands. The event will benefit many of the towns located in the “bayshore” region of the Jersey Shore (which is mainly by the greater Sandy Hook area).
Below is the press release for the event:
Much like McDonagh’s set up for St. Patty’s, there will be a heated tent outside and beer served. $2.50 bottles outside. Live music inside AND outside. And the dining room will be open.
We will be raising money for Habitat for humanity to buy supplies to rebuild as well as signing up volunteers to get out and actually rebuild the houses.
Matawan local PBA’s RESTORE THE BAYSHORE will also be there with a table full of awesome stuff for sale! http://www.facebook.com/RTBSandy
Let’s take care of our own and get these houses rebuilt!
NO COVER CHARGE. Just suggested donations and a 50/50 raffle.
100 percent of the proceeds are going directly to Habitat For Humanity.
