Logan J. Fowler: I never really got into Friends until a couple of years ago, when my girlfriend proclaimed it was her favorite show. She lent me all the seasons and I pressed forth, laughing all the while. Definitely, Friends is a hilarious sitcom, one I watch in syndication without question or restraint now.
However, I used to watch episodes originally when they aired, and my favorite episode, still by far, is “The One After the Super Bowl.” Featuring a ton of guest stars, the memory I take away most from that entry into the Friends canon is Phoebe’s (Lisa Kudrow) kids music.
Surrounded by a slew of children, Phoebe takes her eccentric tunes and turns them into kiddie fare. Her songs start out sweet enough, but towards the end she turns them into real life tales that no parent would want their offspring to hear. I’ve quoted these songs a lot, and while there are so many other quintessential and great Friends moments, this is just one I’ve carried with me the longest.
ThOde bloopers are my favorite episode now.
