First Time I Saw It: I saw this in theaters with my uncle when I was 11-years-old, not even grown up enough to make the “R” rating. Seeing a mostly naked Jamie Lee Curtis was a big takeaway obviously, but the movie forever is cemented as my favorite Arnie flick. It’s funny, it’s chaotic, and it is so slick. It’s James Bond on steroids, basically.
Why I Ranked It So High: The pairing of James Cameron and Schwarzenegger is solid. The good Terminator movies proved that. Here, it just goes to show that these guys gel so well together, making for an action adventure that is not only entertaining, but has some epic moments. How can you not love the scene when Arnie rescues Jamie from a damaged bridge? Or Schwarzenegger’s great one liner at the end? It’s so good! Can’t get enough.
My favorite part: Arnie using a horse to chase down bad guys. When the horse fails to do his part, he gets scolded by our hero. It’s hilarious and memorable, along with the rest of this movie. –Logan J. Fowler
