The Ending
Yes, we’ve all seen the movie ending jump scare a million times at this point but we tend to forget that Carrie was one of the first to do it and scare the hell out of their audience. Brian De Palma directs this so effectively; we believe Carrie is dead and buried but when friend Sue decides to drop off some flowers to her grave site and Carrie’s bloody and charred hand pops out from the ground, the heart skips a beat.
