Looks like the ‘Dark Side’ will be alluring some people over with a familiar voice.
Entertainment Weekly has confirmed, while speaking to Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy, that veteran actor and original voice actor for the man in the big black helmet James Earl Jones will return to voice Darth Vader in in the new Star Wars film Rogue One.
In regards to the characters role in the film, which takes place between the events of Episodes III and IV, it is said that Vader will not be the main antagonist of the film but will show up in the film and is more of “legend” then the actual infamous big bad that the Star Wars world has come to love to hate.
While speaking of his role, Kennedy added, “He will be in the movie sparingly. But at a key, strategic moment, he’s going to loom large.”
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story opens in theaters on December 16.
