The Walking Dead Season 8 Trailer is a High Tension, All Action Teaser
The Walking Dead may have dropped one of its best season teasers in quite a long time.
Today, at San Diego Comic Con, the Season 8 trailer dropped. It seemed like the editors watched the Dunkirk trailer a few times, and employed a ticking sound (a clock possibly) to score the five minute video.
When we last left the world of Rick Grimes, the smoke was clearing on a massive battle between the Saviors, and the new alliance of Alexandria, The Hilltop, and The Kingdom.
In this trailer, we see all the good guys gearing up for war. We see glimpses of Negan taunting Father Gabriel. We see epic shots of herds of walkers stalking major cities. There’s also see Shiva, King Ezkiel’s tiger, in a pit filled with lakers — is our favorite tiger doomed?
The past few seasons of The Walking Dead have been really hit-or-miss. Sometimes this show knocks it out of the park (particularly in the premieres and finales), while other times it delivers boring, and trudging expositional episodes that give little pay off.
What do you think of this teaser? Do you think The Walking Dead can snap out of its funk now that it’s all out war, or are we in for more of the same? Let us know in the comments!
