Pop Break Live: Radio 104.5 Winter Jawn featuring Dashboard Confessional, The Struts, J. Roddy Walston & The Business, AJR, SYML, The Glorious Sons, Welshly Arms at Xfinity Live! in Philadelphia, PA.
It’s been a wild week for Philadelphia. First, the Philadelphia Eagles win the NFC Championship, and are heading to the Super Bowl. Then, WWE takes over the city for The Royal Rumble.
Then on an unseasonably warm January afternoon, Radio 104.5 presented its annual star-studded Winter Jawn. Previous Jawns have been played in bitter cold, but this year the weather gods made up for those subzero days earlier this month, and provided a glorious day for music. The weather was so good that a reported 11,000 people showed up.
Oh, and if you’re not from Philadelphia (or the surrounding region) and are wondering what the word jawn means, so here’s what Merriam-Webster has to say.
Performing at the show were Dashboard Confessional, The Struts, J. Roddy Walston & The Business, AJR, SYML, Canada’s The Glorious Sons, Saint Slumber, and Welshly Arms.
Pop Break’s Cathy Poulton caught the bands in action.
