Pop Break Live: The Reputation Stadium Tour – Taylor Swift with Camila Cabello and Charli XCX at MetLife Stadium

The Reputation Stadium Tour made it very clear why Taylor Swift is one of the biggest stars of our time.
I’ve been to a lot of concerts of all different sizes, but, this was something else entirely. There was the expected: backup dancers, singers, a killer band and great lighting. But then there was everything else: pyrotechnics, fireworks, an ever-changing stage, a towering inflatable snake.
This was next level entertainment.
The night started with Charli XCX. I’m a Charli fan and she did not disappoint. I can imagine it’s pretty strange performing in an arena while it’s still light out. But, Charli knew exactly how to handle this and got the crowd moving right away with “Boom Clap.” She brought a lot of energy. “Boys” was a total highlight in my opinion.
Charli XCX Setlist:

I Love It (Icona Pop cover)

Next up was Camila Cabello, who kept things moving nicely. She had a great band and cool production. The crowd really seemed to enjoy her performance. Cabello’s set included an unexpected cover of Elvis’ ‘Can’t Help Falling in Love,’ as well as her massive hit ‘Havana.’ Check out Pop Break’s review of Cabello’s latest record.

She Loves Control

Once Taylor came on, the energy of the entire arena changed. The stage split in half and she appeared in the middle. From then on, the stage never stopped moving. From golden thrones to giant snakes, this was nonstop entertainment.
There was one point where she flew over the crowd on a light up chariot and landed on a second stage. This was one of the most exciting parts of the show. Everyone was out of their seats, it truly felt like a party. Camila and Charli jumped on stage to help out with “Shake It Out.”
Taylor played “Dancing With Our Hands Tied” and “Welcome to New York” solo. They both sounded great stripped down and it was a pretty amazing experience to see the whole crowd with their light up bracelets singing along.
There was one point where I turned to my friend and said “Ah, I don’t like this song..” but by the end of the song, I was singing along with my hands in the air. It’s really just a testament to how great of a performance this was. The crowd was full of people having the best night ever. The energy was unrivaled. I’ll make sure to see Taylor Swift whenever she decides to come back. I recommend you do the same.
