NXT presents its first PLE of 2025 — Vengeance Day! The event will emanate from the CareFirst Arena in Washington D.C. and will have multiple title, gimmick and multi-person matches on the card.

For this panel Pop Break’s Editor-in-Chief Bill Bodkin will be joined by Pop Break staff writer, BCP+ Editor and the co-host of the Sweet Chin Musings Podcast — “Mr. Perfect” Mike Mueller. Mike, besides sporting a wondrous beard, is a phenomenal wrestling prognosticator and his nickname doesn’t come from just being a Curt Hennig fan.

This column we’ll also be doing something a little different, we’re including the BetOnline.AG odds provided to us by Stuff Media Group. Much like we did with The Royal Rumble — we’ll be giving you the odds on all the matches!

Triple Threat Match: NXT World Championship: Oba Femi © vs. Austin Theory vs. Grayson Waller

Mike: Ever since he won the NXT Breakout Tournament in 2023, it was obvious Oba Femi was destined for big things. His title reign has just begun and while I personally love Grayson Waller, his squabbling with Austin Theory will ultimately be the downfall for both of them and Oba Femi will retain. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if he stacks them both.

Winner: Oba Femi

Bill: Oba Femi is an absolute beast and he’s the perfect guy to be the NXT champ right now. This is the perfect “early run” match for a world champion, especially someone as big and bad as Oba. He’s going to smash A Town Down Under after succumbing to some double-teaming. The big story coming out of this match will be the inevitable person who comes after this match and declares themselves as the “next man up” for Oba’s title, which’ll lead to the main event at Stand & Deliver.

Official BetOnline SportsBook Odds:

Oba Femi (c) -10000 (1/100)
Austin Theory +800 (8/1)
Grayson Waller: +1000 (10/1)

NXT Women’s North American Championship:

Fallon Henley © vs. Stephanie Vaquer

Mike: Stephanie Vaquer has superstar written all over her. While Fallon Henley has been a fighting and formidable Women’s North American Champion (7 title defenses in 104 days), she has a ceiling. For Vaquer, the sky’s the limit, and it’s time for her to wear some gold in NXT.

Winner: Stephanie Vaquer

Bill: Fallon has come a long way from being a preliminary wrestler for NXT and AEW, and has settled nicely into a heel role. Don’t be shocked if you see her up on the main roster sooner rather than later. However, she’s been keeping this title warm for Vaquer. Since she broke onto the scene last year with AEW, like Mike said, she has superstar emblazoned across her. The big question will be who will step up to challenge her at the big Stand & Deliver show.

Official BetOnline SportsBook Odds:

Stephanie Vaquer -700 (1/7)
Fallon Henley (c) +400(4/1)

Fatal 4-Way Match: NXT Women’s Championship

Giulia © vs. Bayley vs. Roxanne Perez vs. Cora Jade

Mike: Multi-person matches always increase the chance of a title change. However, with Bayley and Roxanne Perez having their own beef, and Cora Jade just getting thrown into this thing at the last minute, this match is my lock of the night. Giulia has just started her title reign and I’m expecting it to be a very lengthy one. I suspect she’ll get the pin on Cora Jade so Roxane and Bayley can keep their feud going without either one taking a loss.

Winner: Giulia

Bill: It feels almost too obvious that Cora Jade takes the pin here. If that happens, it lacks a bit of creativity and is a little too protective. Roxanne or Bayley getting the L due to the actions of the other, thus fueling their feud on the main roster, would be ideal. No matter who takes the pinfall, Giulia takes the W here.

NXT Tag Team Title Match: Fraxiom (Nathan Frazier & Axiom) (C) vs. Josh Briggs & Yoshiki Inamura

Mike: WWE and NOAH have a working relationship, and typically I’d think the “good faith” thing to do here would have Briggs and Inamura win the titles. However, Fraxiom has already defeated TNA’s Nemeth Brothers and The Rascalz, so that logic is out the window. Purely picking with my heart on this one. Fraxiom has the makings to be one of my favorite tag teams ever if they stick together, so I want them to hold on to the titles.

Winners: Fraxiom

Bill: If Vaquer were not upsetting Henley, I’d say the new team of Briggs and Inamura would take the win here. NXT really loves themselves from Josh Briggs. However, Fraxiom isn’t due for their requisite break-up just yet … that’s going to come after Mania (if they aren’t called up).

Winners: Fraxiom

Official BetOnline SportsBook Odds:
Fraxiom: -200
Josh Briggs & Yoshiki Inamura: +150

Strap Match: Trick Williams vs. Eddy Thorpe

Mike: A guy whose chant is “woop that trick” is not losing a strap match. I just refuse to believe it. Whether you love strap matches or hate them (I love them), this is guaranteed to be a nasty affair.

Bill: While it’s nice to see Eddy Thorpe (the former Karl Fredericks from New Japan) getting a moment here, there’s no way Trick Williams is going to lose.

Winner: Trick Williams

Official BetOnline SportsBook Odds:
Trick Williams: -1000
Eddy Thorpe: +550

Ethan Page vs. Je’Von Evans

Mike: Traditional storytelling favors Evans, who is fighting with a fractured jaw due to Page stomping his head inside of a chair, however the fact that GM Ava made him sign a waiver in order to fight is setting off a whole lot of alarms in my head. It’s possible Evans wins and Page beats him down after, in another fit of rage, but I can’t get over the waiver. I think Page wins in an ugly way.

Winner: Ethan Page

Bill: One thing NXT seems allergic to is giving Je’Von Evans that signature win. I think that comes tonight. The most recents cuts by WWE have been reported to be linked to NXT call-ups. You have to believe some of these call-ups will com from the men’s division. Je’Von is a fan favorite, some giving him the W over Ethan — even if it’s a surprise roll-up — will help this cause.

Winner: Je’Von Evans

Official BetOnline SportsBook Odds:

Je’Von Evans -150 (2/3)
Ethan Page +110 (11/10)

Bonus Jonas Question: Ricky Starks — promo or match on the card?

Mike: While I’d love to see Ricky lace ‘em up, this seems like a promo or commentary spot, especially with 6 matches already on the card. I’m expecting him to cut a killer promo/do great on commentary and get confronted by whoever his first rivalry will be. Maybe Ridge Holland?

Bill: Ricky may not have a scheduled match, but he’ll likely get in a physical altercation with someone.

NXT Vengeance Day 2025 streams on Saturday February 15 on Peacock.
