All Elite Wrestling closes out 2025 with its annual Worlds End PPV. The PPV, which began in 2023, has been a rollercoaster event as it features the finals of the Continental Classic, and some absolute duds (we’re looking at you, Andrade vs. Miro). The past two installments of the show were mired in bad storylines (early day Death Riders, the Edge/Christian title flops) and the promotion being on the ropes from a public relations and fan perspective.
This year, however, things feel much different. The Continental Classic has been on fire, and feels like its finally hit the level of wrestling prestige it was always meant to have. The World Title picture feels red hot, while the women’s matches feel primed for a big fight feel. In short, this World’s End hits differently.
Here are the predictions of who will win at AEW Worlds End 2025…
Zero Hour: The Sisters of Sin (Julia Hart and Skye Blue) vs. Hyan and Maya World
Thoughts: Hyan and Maya World are really impressive during their “try out” tour (they may be signed for all we know), and it’s very obvious by the fact they’ve gone from canon fodder to a PPV pre-show match. Don’t rule out a shock win from these two, but ultimately, The Sisters of Sin need the W here. They’re a bit rudderless, and need some momentum heading into the new year. I don’t think this is a prediction of the winners of the AEW Women’s World Tag Title Match, as it does the World Title Match. Thekla is bound to collide with Statlander, and her faction getting hot is a must.
Winners: The Sisters of Sin
Mixed Nuts Mayhem: Death Riders (Claudio Castagnoli, Daniel Garcia, Wheeler Yuta, and Marina Shafir) vs. The Conglomeration (Mark Briscoe, Orange Cassidy, and Roderick Strong) and “Timeless” Toni Storm
Thoughts: This is the kind of silly billy match name that Tony Khan is known for, and we’re here for it. These teams went at it during Collision at Hammerstein (which we attended live) and the crowd went bananas for Briscoe and The Timeless one teaming up. Going to go with the babyfaces here, as the major match coming out of this should be Toni vs. Marina. Toni’s team winning or him scoring a pin on “The Problem” is the type of result the mad dog character Shafir has created would want to pursue. 2026 is lining up to be an interesting year for The Death Riders and heading into it with a loss is the way to go.
Continental Classic Semifinal: “The Rainmaker” Kazuchika Okada (c) vs. “The Alpha” Konosuke Takeshita
Thoughts: An exhausted crowd went absolutely nuclear when these two squared off on Collision. This match has been built for months, and the AEW fanbase is rabid for this match. This will be good, but this is just Chapter 1 of this feud. Given the fact this is a semifinal match, and a 20 minute time-limit, we’re not going to get a Tokyo Dome epic from these two. I think the move here is The Alpha shocks the world and continues his near-perfect Continental Classic, and defeats The Rainmaker. This adds a new layer of heat to the feud, and the IWGP champ continues to excel.
Winner: Konsuke Takeshita
Continental Classic Semifinal: “The Protostar” Kyle Fletcher vs. Jon Moxley
Thoughts: Sleeper match of the night. Fletcher has really become an A+ star for AEW over the past year. Jon Moxley has had such a revival since dropping the title to Hangman back at All In. Essentially, this is not the Jon Moxley of last year’s World’s End. These two are going to beat the absolute shit out of each other. The result here is very interesting. Do we go with Kyle Fletcher versus his Don Callis Family stablemate Takeshita (or Okada if I’m wrong), or does the leader of The Death Riders head to the finals, and claim a new crown?
Prediction: Kyle Fletcher grabs the W here. He’s the man, and him vs. Takeshita is going to be the stuff of legend.
Darby Allin vs. Gabe Kidd
Thoughts: This feels like the match storyline necessitates, but the fans (given the reaction of the Collision live crowd) maybe don’t. This writer is buying all the stock on Gabe Kidd as the future of the business, and Darby is the right guy for him … if you’re building Gabe Kidd as a future heel in AEW. This match is the way to do it. However, the actual match that should’ve been booked, and would have had immediate heat is Kidd vs. Eddie Kingston. The other issue here is, these two have done dastardly stuff to each other, so why aren’t they doing a gimmick match?
Prediction: Gabe Kidd. Not confident in this choice. However, with NJPW touring the US this winter they need some star power, and re-establishing Kidd, who has lost some momentum, is a must. Darby loses nothing by losing here, and ultimately these two need a gimmicked blow off match down the road.
Chicago Street Fight for the AEW World Tag Team Championship: FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) (C) with Stokely vs. Bang Bang Gang (Juice Robinson and Austin Gunn) with Ace Austin
Thoughts: Visions of The Road Warriors will be dancing through our heads on this one. These four have terrific chemistry together, and all of these men know how to get rough and violent. This will be a good knock down, drag out … and one has to wonder if we finally see that long-awaited Cope and Christian revenge spot. If you’re going to head into the new year with a hot program, why not kick off the year with those four rumbling. The revenge would allow for Juice & Austin to be Tag Champs, and give this snakebitten stable something to do. Don’t rule out a Jay White return either, and giving Juice a hometown win would be pretty rad.
Winner: Despite all this, FTRÂ just won the belts from Brodido. Can’t see them dropping the belts just yet. If Christian and Cope return, it’d be after the match so this way they can challenge for the tag belts, brother.
AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship: The Babes of Wrath (Harley Cameron and Willow Nightingale) (c) vs. Mercedes Moné and Athena
Thoughts: On paper, this seems like an easy W for the super team of Mercedes and Athena. Almost too easy. Here’s my patented wild conspiracy theory. Babes of Wrath retain, they take on The Sisters of Sin, and they ultimately lose to Julia and Skye (contradicting what I said earlier) — making the Triangle of Madness a force to be reckoned with especially when Thekla wins the Women’s World Title. Mercedes and Athena losing leads to another super clash between the two, this time for either the ROH or TBS Title.
Predictions: Babes…of…Wraaaaaaaaath.
Continental Classic Final for the AEW Continental Championship: “The Alpha” Konosuke Takeshita vs. “The Protostar” Kyle Fletcher
Thoughts: Were this a regular PPV, Okada would cost Takeshita the match. However, that’s against the rules of the tournament and immediately damage the tournament for quite a bit of time. So these two will have a clean, violent, unhinged classic. With Wrestle Kingdom on the horizon, and AEW continuing to lean into the youth of the promotion, Takeshita is going to win this. He’s going to solidify himself as a main event player in AEW, and don’t be shocked if Takeshita is holding the Men’s World Title by the end of 2026.
Winner: “The Alpha” Konosuke Takeshita
AEW Women’s World Championship: “The Cosmic Killer” Kris Statlander (c) vs. Jamie HayterÂ
Thoughts: These two are going to clubber each other and this is going to be a “near fall” fest that’s going to have this crowd on the edge of its seat. Statlander has had a strong year, and she’s been a terrific champion. Hayter has had an up and down year due to injuries, but a full heel turn from Hayter needs to be complete with this match. I’m suspecting this could not be the last match between these two. Could we see a cage match or street fight between these two in 2026? Please and thank you.
Winner: “The Cosmic Killer” Kris Statlander
Four-way match for the AEW Men’s World Championship: Samoa Joe (c) vs. Swerve Strickland vs. “Hangman” Adam Page vs. MJF
Thoughts: This could go any way. However, the money pick here is Maxwell Jacob Friedman, beginning his run with the World Title. Samoa Joe having a short title reign isn’t the worst thing in the world, and to be fair he’s the next likely to win. Swerve and Hangman are bound to explode and fight each other again. MJF beating Joe with Joe subtly sliding back into the babyface role is the way to go here. Max will the belt is great business, and a long run leading to a Will Ospreay return and chase sound wonderful for 2026.
Winner: … “And New” MJF
