There may be no better way to celebrate the spooky season than sitting and listening to the cast of The Rocky Horror Picture Show revival, currently running at Studio 54, at New York Comic Con.
The show currently features Rosie O’Donnell as The Narrator now through October 18. The show, as it stands, has tickets available through February 28. Click here for tickets and info.
Here’s the highlights of the panel
- The cast speaks about their experiences with the show itself, and their inspiration for their performances.
- Anania, a swing for six separate tracks, discussed how she loves for fans to see her versions of the characters, providing more diverse portrayals.
- Jimin Moon didn’t think they’d be cast as Rocky, since they didn’t fit the stereotypical look for Rocky. Funnily enough, they still haven’t seen the film. But they’re still proud to be breaking the mold by being a nonbinary Asian actor in the role
- Jake Shears takes lots of inspiration from Tim Curry, “Tim Curry is in my DNA.”
- Andrew Moerdyk did production design and couldn’t help but be inspired by the original movie’s design.Â
