Theater, Rent, No Thanks, Undecided? Rent. I was pretty much dead set on going to see G.I. Joe: Retaliation in the theater when it was originally supposed to be out the summer of 2012. Featuring returning cast members from the first outing, the sequel added two actors who kicked the toy franchise movie into overdrive: Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Bruce Willis. However, news of a 3D conversion set the movie back several months, and therefore my interest decreased. But I’m still up for giving this a try come rental time. No regrets, it looks (at best) like a fun time. –LJF

Theater, Rent, No Thanks, Undecided? Rent. G.I. Joe isn’t a bad movie franchise. Despite its flaws, it was nowhere near as bad as I expected. And with the sequel, I think we’re going to get a really, really solid film. Channing Tatum has come into his own — he’s a proven action commodity and now with his newfound comedic side, I think he’ll add a new, non-cardboard dimension to Duke. And then there’s the 1-2 punch of charisma known as The Rock and Bruce Willis. Having them on board is just going to up the G.I. Joe game. This isn’t a must-see in the cineplex film, but this is going to make a really good rental no matter what. –BB
