Theater, Rent, No Thanks, Undecided? Rent. At this point in my life, I have highly considered giving the Lord of the Rings movies another chance. I don’t hate this movies; I just find them, well, kind of draggy. My respect for the franchise has always been proclaimed, as I find these movies aesthetically amazing, and I have nothing but love for the fan base. That being said, the second entry in The Hobbit franchise will probably be a rental one day, as my sincerity in watching these movies again (some of them for the first time) is 100% valid. Are you happy now, Bodkin? –LJF
Theater, Rent, No Thanks, Undecided? Theater. The original LOTR movies are my all-time favorite movies. The Hobbit, however, did not hold a candle to them. With that being said it was still a highly enjoyable epic and I will be there to see the film opening weekend. The lush detail, the high-energy action, the sweeping score, DWARVES…yup, I’m a sucker for Peter Jackson’s take in Tolkien. See you opening night. –BB
