logan j. fowler and bill bodkin look at the initial Hangover 2 trailer …
Theater, Rent, No Thanks, Undecided? Rent.
Okay, well, the teaser is very brief, which is good. As I’ve stated, less is more. However, I have doubts about this film. For one, as much as I did enjoy the first Hangover, I still say it’s an overrated comedy. People I know acted like it was the best thing in the whole world, and while I admit it is pretty funny, it wasn’t my favorite comedy ever. Also, the premise is going to be hard to repeat, and why is Justin Bartha’s character not a main player in this one? In addition, did we really need a sequel? Whatever the case, I will give it a shot, but while the same people I mentioned above scolded me for not seeing the first one in the theater, I will not feel bad about Netflixing the second coming of the wolfpack.

I understand that this sequel might be a complete let-down, but I will still go see the cinematic reunion of the Wolfpack any day of the week. I was one of the people who Logan talked about earlier — I sang the praises of the original film from high atop the movie mountain. But I did this for a good reason: I hadn’t laughed that hard at a movie in nearly 10 years. The trio of Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Zach Galifianakis is comic gold. Their chemistry is akin to (and possibly even better than) director Todd Armstrong’s original comedic trinity: Luke Wilson, Vince Vaughn and Will Ferrell. And how long have we been clamoring for Old School 2? In the end, I don’t think the sequel will match up to the original, but I still believe there will be a lot of laughs, which is all I need.
