29. The Grudge – 2004

When this film came out, it was the talk of my high school because everyone I knew was freaking out about it, claiming it to be one of the scariest movies they had ever seen. At this point I had seen the original Japanese film, Ju-On: The Grudge, but had no interest in this. My suspicions were right, as I was incredibly bored until the scene where a businessman sees his receptionist walking around. He begins to investigate (because, reasons?) and as she turns around, his face (while comical) is that of pure fear as the girl has half her face ripped off. Like it or not, this is an image you’ll never forget.
