20. Final Destination – 2000
The Plane Crash
While I think Final Destination is a great example of a black comedy, it still boasts one of the scariest (and coolest) plane crashes in movie history. Every time I go on an airplane, this movie plays in my head and explains one of my biggest fears. I can’t imagine what Alex was going through as he saw this in his head as he sees his entire French class blow up. But after his vision, he gets himself and a few others off the plane and we think all is okay. The truly terrifying moment comes after the de-boarding as the plane does take off and does, in fact, blow up. The look on Alex’s face really says it all.
