Thanks to the magical wonderland that is San Diego Comic-Con, we finally got our first glimpse of the poster for the official Wonder Woman film, starring Gal Gadot as our conquering heroine.
Gadot shared the photo on Twitter earlier today, quoted as saying, “A dream come true. Happy to finally share this with you all.”
In a world full of men in spandex, it’s finally time a woman got her chance to soar in a leading role for the DC cinematic universe.
While we got our first taste of the Amazonian princess warrior, also known as Diana Prince, in the film Batman v Superman which was released earlier this year, there will be so much more to explore with her character in her stand alone film, also starring Chris Pine as her love interest Steve Trevor.
The film will take place during World War I, and will feature Wonder Woman trying her best to stop it, while handling other hardships and hurdles life throws at her.
The film is to be directed by Patty Jenkins and is set to be released on June 2, 2017.
