In their latest breakdown of every Oscar category, Marisa and Matt discuss the Best Sound and Best Visual Effects nominees while stressing about the state of the Hollywood blockbuster and the Academy’s decision to only air some of the nominees.

This year, the nominees for Best Visual Effects are: Dune, Free Guy, No Time to Die, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, and Spider-Man: No Way Home.

The nominees for Best Sound are Belfast, Dune, No Time to Die, The Power of the Dog, and West Side Story.

In the episode, Marisa talks about getting her hair blown back by the sound in No Time to Die, Matt continues the love for Dune and they’re both finally forced to talk about Spider-Man: No Way Home.
