Plot: Two down on their luck friends (Johnson and Wayans) dress up as cops for a party, but take things a little too far and pretend to actually be cops. And as any comedy would have it, they get involved with actual criminals and must save the day.

Rate the Trailer (1-5): Three out of five. I have to admit, this trailer did get several chuckles out of me. I doubt it’ll reach the comedic level of Neighbors or 22 Jump Street, but it may have its own charm all the same. It hasn’t been over promoted with TV spots, which helps me not to feel like I don’t want to see it because I’ve already seen enough. –LJF
Rate the Trailer (1-5): Three out of five. Honestly, I was surprised at how funny the trailer was. Movies like this usually have some godawful trailers, but the chemistry these two have is just fantastic. This isn’t going to win an Oscar, but this looks like it’ll be funny nonetheless. –BB
Theater, Rent, No Thanks, Undecided? Rent. I may attempt a theater viewing of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, but if not, I feel that I should go out on a high note with Guardians of the Galaxy. Let’s Be Cops could be a really good time at the cinema, but nothing about it screams massive screen viewing. Best left to rental territory, the film would lose nothing in the comfort of my own home. –LJF
Theater, Rent, No Thanks, Undecided? Rent. This is going to be a solid rental. While I think Johnson and Wayans will be great together, this movie will probably get silly and stretched thin pretty quick. Also, haven’t we seen this kind of movie before, about 1,000 times? While I’m being negative right now, I have no doubt when I rent this, I’ll enjoy the hell out of it. –BB
