Wrestlemania 31 Predictions Panel

Seth Rollins vs. Randy Orton

Bill Bodkin: Randy Orton needs a win here. Can’t believe I just said that. I think the WWE realized that they failed to capitalize on RKO’s Vine popularity, but that there still is some juice left from that. By going over on Rollins (and if Rollins does the win title from whomever via the dreaded MITB briefcase) Orton has just cause to be the #1 contender.

Steven Miller: Orton is going to win and Rollins may even do a stretcher job. That will set up a Rollins run in if Vince follows through and gives the title to Reigns. This would have been a great main event because these two are so much better at the craft than the two main event performers. But, Orton is about to descend into the same pit of second tier status hell that Cena has already entered. This could be his last run at the top.

Jeff Parsons: Orton will win this, but I expect tons of shenanigans to keep Rollins looking strong. I’m certain that Kane and J&J Security will factor in the finish, possibly giving Rollins something to be annoyed with them about in the future.

Anthony Toto: Both of these wrestlers are hungry for the top spot. This match will serve as the cattle call for why they deserve a higher status on the bill. Seth Rollins is unequivocally the hardest worker, the top heel, and the best on the microphone. Meanwhile, his yearlong upswing only resulted in the third match on the card. This is exactly what CM Punk preached about during the Colt Cabana podcast. Put your body at risk, steal the show every night, and maybe you will wrestle under the part timers at Wrestlemania!

In Randy Orton’s case, this company also dropped the ball on the “RKO Outta Nowhere” momentum. If I’m either wrestler, I’m aiming for the critical acclaim of “Macho Man” Randy Savage vs. Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat. Seth Rollins will bring out the best in “The Viper.” This feud will probably continue after Wrestlemania but it’s time for Orton to put over Rollins clean. This match should inform the casual viewer why Rollins is a potential threat to cash in his Money In The Bank briefcase during the main event. Winner: Seth Rollins

Kenny Pete: Seth Rollins will be the unsung hero of this entire show and have a five-star match with a broom. Rollins will be a made man after he makes Randall Keith look like Sting circa 1989 after taking an RKO from (you guessed it) Outta Nowhere.

PS: The Internet has done more to make Randy Orton a legend with 6 months of Vines, than the WWE has in over a dozen years & thousands of hours of television written by experienced professionals.

Michael Dworkis: This is tough to say. The way I look at it, Seth Rollins gains everything whether he wins or loses. He always comes out looking strong since he is much faster and his athletic style out-paces majority of the roster. For Randy Orton, a loss would ruin his push, if he is getting one, while a win sends the 16 year old girls and the kids home happy, which sadly I believe WWE will script out. Keep in mind, Seth Rollins has the briefcase. A loss could for Rollins could be meant to throw us off on predicting when he will cash in. Winner – Randy Orton

Jon Lister: I don’t know what’s worse. The fact Overrated Orton has returned or that they are turning Rollins into Orton. Granted, it would take a labotomy done to Rollins to give him Overrated’s wrestling “skill,” but Rollins has filled Randy’s personality in the storyline and it’s getting on my nerves. Back to the match, they should continue to build Rollins up and give him the victory but I fear the spoiled brat of the WWE cries his way into a win tonight.

Evi Dworkis: Seth Rollins, because hello, Seth Rollins is awesome and the only momentum Randy Orton has going right now is his “RKO Meme.”
