The Human Centipede (First Sequence) is one of the most controversial films ever made, usually split right down the middle between people who love it and those who can’t stand how disgusting it is. Regardless, there is no denying the effectiveness of the first time you see the “monster.” When Dr. Heiter (Dieter Laser) walks into his room in the morning and awakes his three victims, all sewn together and helpless, you feel your stomach drop. On top of that, Laser shows such glee in his creation and cries from joy at the sight of these three people screaming at their new form.
