The Ghost Woman
Considered one of the scariest films of it’s time, The House on Haunted Hill is very special because it knows how to draw you in and then terrify you a second later. Most would agree that the “ghost woman” scene, where she appears out of absolutely nowhere and floats across the hallway, still holds up to this day and is one of the earliest examples of an effective jump scare.
