The Tapes
Sinister splits most horror audiences; some appreciate its creepiness and others feel it tries too hard. Either way, the main focus of this film is on the super 8 tapes, depicting a series of murders by the kids of this film. Each of these tapes include a grizzly murder, all scary and horrifying. Everyone feels uncomfortable when the family hangs from the tree or when the family burns in the car. And everyone jumps out of their seats during the “gardening” tape. Everyone.
