The Roommate
The Terminator and its sequels (especially T2) are known as some of the best action films to ever grace a screen. However, most people don’t realize that the original Terminator is a slasher film disguised as an action flick. This is never more evident than when Arnold Schwarzenegger’s T-800 is tracking down Sarah Connor, he happens upon her home and kills her roommate. The set-up of this is something we’ve seen a million times: the roommate has sex with her boyfriend, leaves the room, said boyfriend is killed and then the girl is killed. The spookiness of the T-800 stalking this girl in this under lit apartment is very scary and you feel the fear.
