68. Halloween IV: The Return of Michael Myers – 1988
The Ending
Many fans of the Halloween franchise agree that Halloween IV: The Return of Michael Myers is a pretty damn good sequel, mainly because the rest flat out suck. This film also responsible for introducing horror audiences to scream queen Danielle Harris, who, at the age of eight plays Laurie Strode’s daughter, Jamie. Now, this movie isn’t all that scary but the ending of the film, which pays homage to the opening of the original, is very frightening. It makes you think Michael (who was “killed” earlier) is still alive and stabs Jamie’s mother. When Dr. Loomis and company make their way to the ruckus, they are greeted by Jamie, her clown costume covered in blood and holding bloody scissors, fresh from the kill and ready to take on the mantle of her Uncle Michael. This is one of the best scenes in the entire franchise and one of my favorites.
