The Crawler
The Poughkeepsie Tapes is one of those rare movies that has never gotten a true release but everyone has seen. This is a strange film, filled with a lot of “sit down” interviews and found footage aspects, incorporating a lot of different horror elements. The most impactful moment in the film deals with kidnapped teen, Cheryl, who is being tortured and sexually assaulted by our killer. Cheryl is tied to a post with the camera inches from her face and from the darkness comes a figure, apparently crawling backwards towards her, with a Victorian-like mask attached to it. This scene is scary and will stick with you for days.
