The Transformation
Some say The Howling rips off An American Werewolf in London in both plot and effects but very few people actually know that The Howling came out four months before London. People can debate which one is better but there is one truth…The Howling doesn’t stack up when it comes to the epic werewolf transformation scene (probably because Rick Baker left this for London). That’s not to say that The Howling fails on this level…in fact, it’s quite successful. The transformation in this film is disgusting and hard to watch. It also doesn’t hurt that this film is also damn good.
