49. The Babadook – 2014
The Story
The Babadook is not your typical horror film and that is a big reason a lot of people don’t like it. Why change up a formula with new ideas, right? Anyway, The Babadook scares you in a different way and it all begins with the book that the monster is based off of. The pop-up book is filled with some very eerie images, images you would not want your child to see. Slit throats and images of the Babadook litter this book and I hope to never have to read something this terrifying to my child.
