The Best and Worst in Film 2014
As the end of the year draws to a close, as does another year of film. As Hollywood does its usual last minute blitz, there are still potentially great movies left to be seen like American Sniper and A Most Violent Year, but the time has come to wrap this baby up. While not as strong as last year’s crop, 2014 still offered plenty of remarkable films. We laughed. We cried. We saw raccoons fire machine guns, one of the worst marriages ever, and a two and a half hour Godzilla movie that showed the monster’s face for maybe three minutes of screen time. Johnny Depp was in another bomb. There were two Hercules movies, and both of them sucked. It was quite a year. While I’ve already discussed my favorite films of the year, it’s time to go next level – Acting, directing, writing, the surprises, the disappointments, and of course the very worst movie of 2014. So let’s go Michael Bay-style and completely bloat this up! It’s The Best and Worst in Film – 2014.
