Best and Worst in Film 2014

THE “MOVIE I THOUGHT WAS GOOD WHEN I FIRST SAW IT, BUT ON FURTHER REFLECTION, YEAH, IT’S NOT THAT GOOD” AWARD:

Chef

chef-CHEF_OS_rgb In my original review I was mediocre on this film to begin with, but as I’ve thought about it more I actually strongly dislike it. It’s not that it’s terribly made, I just find it to be an obnoxious film. I talked extensively about the Jon Favreau bitching about critics scene, but the rest of the film just rubs me the wrong way. I seem to be in the minority though, because a lot of people love this film. The Robert Downey Jr. sequence also pisses me off. It’s completely unnecessary, and nothing more than an excuse to get a “Tony Stark” scene in there.

Honorable Mentions:

  • Dawn of the Planet of the Apes
  • Snowpiercer
