MOST OVERRATED FILM
Captain America: The Winter Soldier
I like the film. It’s very good. I enjoyed it. But can everybody please calm down just a little bit? And yes, I fully admit that part of my animosity towards this film is the cavalier comparisons of “It’s Marvel’s Dark Knight.” The only similarity between The Dark Knight and Captain America: The Winter Soldier is that they fall under the same genre. It’s a very good action movie, but nothing more. I’m not going to be convinced it’s this big political movie that has a lot to say when the climax of the film is a bunch of missiles pointing at things. The non action scenes are very generic and vanilla. Again, it’s a very well put together action film with amazing stunt work, but that’s it.
