Jacob’s Ladder was known for innovating some very popular horror tropes: the shaky cam and the blurry-faced demons are very popular and that is all in thanks to this film. But there’s a small scene which depicts a gurney speeding its way down the hallway, dropping bloody entrails as it hurdles past us. The low camera angle really helps drive home the anxiety one feels while watching this scene.
