Lorelai Gilmore, Gilmore Girls

Lorelai Gilmore is everything you could possibly want in a TV mother: fiercely loyal, protective, fun, and full of love. Sure, she may not set the best example for Rory at all times (i.e. relationships, eating habits, coffee addiction, relationships), but I challenge you to find a mother/daughter closeness like theirs on TV today. Perhaps Gilmore Girls will someday earn itself a movie or even Netflix revival series (a man can dream, OK?) that will tie up some of its loose ends. Maybe we could even see Rory as a mother herself, Lorelai as a grandmother, and Emily as a great-grandmother…though she probably wouldn’t like being called that too much.
