Lois Wilkerson, Malcolm in the Middle

When talking about memorable TV Moms, it would be inexcusable to not mention Lois from FOX’s Malcolm In The Middle. Instantly recognizable to almost anyone who grew up in the early part of the 2000’s, and played extraordinarily by the lovely Jane Kaczmarek, Lois Wilkerson is undoubtedly one of the greatest TV Moms of recent years, and certainly a fan favorite. But alas, this is not without good reason — known across the board for her freakouts and fits of rage throughout the series, she can almost always be seen yelling, whether it be at someone or something (typically her kids or her coworkers). This doesn’t necessarily make her an angry character, however — in fact, she’s probably the only sane character on the show, which, in turn, is what makes her so relatable. She may be hotheaded, but she’s hotheaded with love, and we know that, at the end of the day, everything she does is for the better of those around her, and that’s what makes Lois so lovable. –Dylan Brandsema, Contributor
